Study on propellant management device in plate surface tension tanks

چکیده
Surface tension tanks exploit the liquid surface in transport and gas–liquid separation to provide gas-free propellant for thruster. High efficiency of deflectors can ensure relocation microgravity environment within a short period time, which is helpful providing propellant. This paper explores through drop tower experiments numerical simulations with volume fluid method. The experimental results show that both flow speed mass rate along increase as widths increase. Besides, new type management device, consists four anti-sloshing baffles, verified experiments. Moreover, long-term conditions are predicted by using similarity theories. These important references design plate tanks.
